MEET AARON,
THE PITMASTER
Aaron Asir was born in Sudbury, Ontario, but grew up in Belgium — where his earliest memories of BBQ were grilling sausages over an open wood fire in the forest. That primal connection to fire and smoke never left him.
Mentored by legends like Myron Mixon, Pat Burt, and Tuffy, Aaron went on to become a 5x Grand World Memphis in May BBQ Champion teammate — the Super Bowl of culinary BBQ. His greatest career moment came in 2021, winning the Grand Championship alongside Myron Mixon's Jack's Old South Team.
Now he's brought that world-class craft to Muskoka, Ontario (located in Huntsville) — one brisket, one rack of ribs, one taco at a time.
